Schedule Upgrade

Scheduling an upgrade allows users to choose a date and time when they want to upgrade the Devices. Being a slightly time consuming process, it provides flexibility to upgrade Devices when they are relatively less occupied.

 

In the Firmware Upgrade grid, click on the checkbox of respective Device for which Firmware has to be upgraded. You can select multiple Devices. Following screen will be displayed -

Field Description of Schedule Upgrade

Upgrade Now

Select this option by clicking on it if you want to upgrade the Firmware immediately.

 

Schedule Firmware Upgrade at

Select this option by clicking on it if you want to upgrade the Firmware at a particular date and time. Select the date & time when you want to schedule the firmware upgrade.

 

Click on Save button to continue.

 

If Upgrade Now option is selected, a message “Firmware Upgrade request added to queue” will be displayed as follows -

 

Upon closing the popup window, Firmware upgrade process will start on the selected device(s).

 

Once the Firmware upgrade process is completed, the Current Version column of the Upgrade Firmware grid will display the new version as follows -

 

If Schedule Firmware Upgrade at option is selected, the entered schedule date & time will be displayed in the Firmware Upgrade grid under the Upgrade Schedule column for the selected Device(s) as follows -

Once the Firmware upgrade process is completed on the scheduled date and time, the Current Version column of the Upgrade Firmware grid will display the new version as follows -

 

 

NOTE If the Firmware upgrade process fails on any Device, then you can click the icon in the Retry column to re-initiate the Firmware upgrade process.

 

Click on Cancel button to discard the action.
